What Texans should know
Open enrollment
Texas uses the federal Marketplace at HealthCare.gov. Open enrollment usually runs November 1 through January 15. Outside that window, you generally need a qualifying life event, like losing coverage, moving, marriage, or a new baby.
Special enrollment is time-limited
After a qualifying life event, you usually have 60 days to pick a plan. Call us right away if your situation changes.
Short-term plans are different
Short-term plans don't have to cover pre-existing conditions or all ACA essential benefits. We'll explain the trade-offs before you choose one.
Common questions
Can I get help paying for a Marketplace plan?
Many Texans qualify for premium tax credits based on household income. We can help you see what you may be eligible for.
What does supplemental coverage do?
Accident, critical illness, and hospital plans pay cash benefits directly to you to help with deductibles and other costs.
I'm losing coverage at work. What now?
Losing job-based coverage usually opens a special enrollment period. Call or text us and we'll compare Marketplace plans with COBRA.
Do you help with group health for my business?
Yes. See our employee benefits page or start a quote and pick Employee benefits.
